Rod Helder, director of the Division of Non-Public Education, allowed his office to send out a letter to homeschooling parents telling them to report to a police station, with their children, for a "review" of their work.

On October 2, Charles Roberts the IV opened fire with a handgun and an automatic shotgun on 10 girls, killing five of them and himself, at a small one room Amish schoolhouse in Paradise, Pennsylvania, police said. The deceased victims have been identified as:

• Naomi Rose Ebersole, 7
• Marian Fisher, 13
• Lena Miller, 7
• Mary Liz Miller, 8
• Anna Mae Stoltzfus, 12

The five other girls, ages 6 to 13, remain hospitalized. Three are in critical condition, and two are listed in serious condition.

It seems that all too often our children are being killed in the school system. School violence is increasing at alarming rates, and is showing no sign of slowing down. Today's topic will cover school shootings, violence, and teasing in the public school system. I can't think of any other way of keepng my children out of violent situations, than by teaching them at home.
